Penny Hughes established her business in Swansea (South Wales) fifteen years ago and has become renowned for her exquisite gowns and her softly tailored suits. It does not matter to Penny whether you are spending a thousand pounds on a designer bridal gown or a few hundred on a couture suit. What does matter to her is that she can play her part in helping to make your dream day come true by creating the perfect outfit - from the initial design through to the finishing touches. Penny’s fitting room is light and airy which gives each customer complete privacy and allows for undivided attention from beginning to end.
Penny graduated from The London College of Fashion in 1984 and has since worked in the fashion and bridal industry. She has worked for the top British designer Jean Muir and currently does work for another well-known male designer. She is commissioned each year to make costumes for several of the top London theatres and she has recently launched her latest Mother of The Bride Collection at a well-known local bridal shop. Penny has a flair for creating flattering and stylish designs to suit any body shape. She is particularly talented at designing and making for ladies with a fuller figure whose size falls outside the High Street range. All her gowns and outfits are unique and each receives individual attention to detail. This, when coupled with Penny’s extensive knowledge of fabric, cut and fit make a winning combination.
